Good day Adrian,

Final Shortlist Proposal & Strategy

Captains Quarters
Version 1 Website

Thank you for the opportunity to put together my final offer for Captains Quarters. Before getting into budget and timing, I want to make my understanding of the concept clear so you can quickly see whether I have interpreted the direction correctly. My view is that Version 1 should feel premium, grounded and genuinely Captains Quarters, while giving each important part of the business a clear place from day one.

I see Membership, Programs and 1-to-1 Coaching as the three main commercial pathways. The recommendation below keeps all three visible at launch, while simplifying the parts that do not yet need their full Phase 2 depth.

01 · My Understanding

How I understand the Captains Quarters concept.

My understanding is that Captains Quarters is not meant to feel like a standard coaching website. It is a broader self-development and lifestyle brand built around coaching, membership, the Playbook, community, programs and apparel. Those parts should feel connected rather than presented as separate products.

For Version 1, I would keep the three core pathways visible — Membership, Programs and 1-to-1 Coaching — and make the first experience easy to understand. The deeper community structure, full apparel operation and larger course library can then grow without changing the foundation.

SELF-MASTERY

Ongoing Self-Mastery

I understand Self-Mastery as an ongoing practice: improving mindset, habits, discipline and action rather than presenting personal growth as something that is ever fully “completed.”

EXCELLENCE

Pursue Excellence

I understand Excellence as the standard Captains Quarters asks people to pursue in performance, character and everyday execution — ambitious, but still grounded and human.

IMPACT

Create Positive Impact

I understand Impact as the point where personal growth extends beyond the individual: leading by example, supporting others and raising the standard of the people around you.

How I Read the Visual Direction

The visual direction reads to me as premium, masculine-leaning and disciplined, but not loud or overly “luxury.” I would use the concepts as art direction and rebuild the live site around authentic Captains Quarters media.

01

Real Media First

Real founder, training, coaching, community, Playbook and apparel photography/footage becomes the visual proof of the brand, replacing concept lifestyle backgrounds on the live site.

02

Matte Contrast

I would carry the black, cream and gold identity into a cleaner editorial system: deep dark surfaces, readable cream typography, restrained gold accents and generous spacing.

03

Open, Premium Language

I read the brand as male-leaning in visual energy, while the public-facing language remains open to driven individuals rather than making the whole brand unnecessarily gender-exclusive.

02 · Proposed Version 1

How I would translate that concept into Version 1.

Based on that understanding, this is the V1 I would build. It keeps the parts that define Captains Quarters visible and functional, while avoiding the areas that would add complexity before there is enough content, activity or product inventory to justify them.

Version 1 — Included

What I believe should be live and working on launch day.

  • Home — brand hero, three pillars, three paid pathways, $19.95 Initial Call CTA, apparel preview and newsletter/footer structure.
  • About / Brand Story — mission, philosophy, three pillars, concise founder story and genuine media.
  • Coaching & Programs — 1-to-1 coaching, intensive offer, mini/signature program architecture and reusable pricing components.
  • Membership / Join the Crew — one Founding Captain plan with monthly and annual options, native Wix Pricing Plans and subscription management.
  • Playbook — CMS-driven resources, categories, downloadable files, free/member-only states and a reusable resource detail template.
  • Community — public value page plus a restrained private launch structure with only 2–3 active member areas.
  • Enquire — clear form pathway for coaching, programs, membership, partnerships and apparel enquiries.
  • Apparel Preview — Premium/Core collection direction and interest pathway without forcing full store operations into launch.
  • Member Foundation — native login, account area, memberships, bookings, gated access and key member states.
  • One reusable Program template — ready for future self-paced or live cohort programs without rebuilding the page structure.

Phase 2 — Deliberately Deferred

These are still part of the longer-term direction, but I would expand them once the content, audience or operations are ready to support the extra depth.

  • Full apparel store with complete catalogue, variants, shipping setup, returns workflow, member discount rules and operational product management.
  • Expanded community architecture beyond the initial 2–3 active spaces.
  • Full course / LMS library once the recorded curriculum and program assets are genuinely ready.
  • Advanced member dashboard customisation beyond the native Wix member experience required at launch.
  • Complex automations and funnels beyond the essential confirmations, reminders, welcome flows and lead capture required for V1.
  • Additional program builds beyond the reusable template included in Version 1.
03 · Visitor Journey

How I understand the conversion path.

I see the journey as intentionally low-pressure. Someone who is ready can book the $19.95 Initial Call straight away. Someone who is still exploring can begin with a useful Playbook resource or send an enquiry, then move toward the most suitable next offer.

Entry Point A Free Playbook Resource

Optional email capture for visitors who are interested but not yet ready to book.

Primary Action Book Initial Call — $19.95 AUD

15–20 minute paid fit and direction conversation with calendar availability, timezone handling and online payment.

Next Best Offer Membership · Program · 1-to-1

The next step is matched to goals, fit and level of support — without cluttering the first decision.

BOOKING QUALIFICATION

Keep the Initial Call easy to book

I would keep the booking questions to the information that is actually useful before the conversation: goals, current challenges, area of interest and the type of support being considered.

SECONDARY PATH

Keep Enquire as the second entry point

Enquire remains available for general questions, partnerships, membership, apparel or anyone who wants to make contact before booking the paid Initial Call.

04 · Build Approach

How I would build the V1 in Wix Studio.

I would keep the technical setup as simple and maintainable as possible: use native Wix functionality for the important business systems, then use custom design work only where it improves the Captains Quarters experience.

RESPONSIVE PRECISION

Intentional responsive design

The approved visual direction will be refined separately for desktop, tablet and mobile so typography, spacing, media crops and key conversion actions still feel deliberate on every screen.

DESIGN SYSTEM

A reusable design system

Typography, colours, buttons, spacing and repeatable sections will be set up as a consistent design system so future pages can be added without changing the visual language.

NATIVE SCALE

Native systems where they make sense

Bookings, Pricing Plans, Members Area, Groups and CMS will stay inside the Wix ecosystem wherever practical, so the owner experience remains straightforward and Phase 2 can build on the same foundation.

Bookings & Payment
Wix Bookings setup for the 15–20 minute Initial Call, $19.95 AUD online payment, calendar availability, timezone handling, confirmation/reminder flow and reschedule/cancellation pathway. Payment connection will use Stripe or another Wix-supported Australian provider selected before launch.
Membership
Wix Pricing Plans for one Founding Captain membership with monthly/annual purchase options, automated confirmation/welcome basics, member subscription management and access rules.
Members Area
Native login/account experience supporting membership status, bookings, gated content, basic account management, restricted-content states, forgot/reset password, verification and key confirmation pages.
Community
Public community page plus 2–3 private Wix Groups at launch — enough to create activity without presenting a large empty forum.
Playbook CMS
Dynamic CMS structure with categories, free/member-only states, downloadable files, resource detail template and up to 5 initial resources populated from provided material. Search/filter structure will be prepared to scale as the library grows.
Programs
One reusable program landing-page template in V1. Full self-paced/scheduled course-library setup moves to Phase 2 once curriculum and assets are ready.
Forms & Automations
Enquiry form, lead magnet capture, thank-you states and core confirmation/welcome automations. Advanced nurture sequences remain outside V1 unless separately agreed.
Analytics
Wix analytics and Google Analytics / Search Console setup where account access is provided, plus conversion tracking for key forms, booking and membership actions.
05 · Launch Standard

What I would consider ready to launch.

For me, V1 is ready only when the agreed pages and systems work together properly: the site feels consistent, the main user journeys are tested, mobile is intentionally refined, and the backend is clear enough for ongoing management.

MOBILE

Responsive QA

Navigation, headline wrapping, media crops, pricing blocks, forms, booking calendar, member states and core interactions checked across desktop, tablet and mobile.

PERFORMANCE

Lean delivery

Image compression, sensible video delivery, restrained animation, reduced app/script clutter and launch testing on major pages.

SEO

Technical foundations

Page titles, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy, clean URLs, image alt text, social sharing metadata, sitemap submission, Search Console setup and relevant Organization/Service/Article schema where appropriate.

ACCESSIBILITY

Practical usability checks

Readable contrast, clear tap targets, descriptive labels, alt text, keyboard-aware interaction patterns and reduced-motion consideration where practical.

TRUST

Only genuine proof

No invented reviews, member counts, awards or outcomes. Real credentials, real story and real Captains Quarters media are used as proof becomes available.

LEGAL & SYSTEM PAGES

Implemented, not legally drafted

Privacy, terms, coaching disclaimer, booking/cancellation and cookie/privacy pages can be designed and implemented from approved wording. Legal advice and legal drafting are excluded.

06 · Timeline & Approval Points

How I would structure the four-week build.

I can begin within one business day of contract activation, Milestone 1 funding and access to the core brand assets, copy and accounts needed for setup. Each week has a clear approval point so you can confirm the direction before I move deeper into the build.

Week 1

Visual Direction + Home

Confirm typography, colour system, grid, header/footer, image treatment, homepage hierarchy and reusable design language. Homepage approval is the first design gate before scaling the site.

Week 2

Core Public Pages

Build About, Coaching, Membership, Playbook, Community, Enquire and Apparel Preview using reusable components and approved visual language.

Week 3

Systems + Member Foundation

Configure Bookings, payment connection, Pricing Plans, Members Area, gated Playbook states, 2–3 Groups, CMS, forms, program template and core automations.

Week 4

Mobile + SEO + QA + Launch

Responsive refinement, performance checks, SEO setup, analytics, legal/system page implementation, payment/form testing, domain connection, owner handover and walkthrough recording.

Timeline assumes decisions, approved wording, photography/footage, pricing and account access are provided without extended delays. Any new functionality added after scope approval is quoted before implementation.

08 · What the Price Covers

A clear scope so there are no surprises during the build.

I want the scope to be easy to review before we start. The items below show exactly what is covered by the fixed price, what remains separate, and where feedback is built into the process.

Included

  • Bespoke Wix Studio design for the agreed public pages and system states.
  • Light copy refinement for hierarchy, clarity, buttons and page flow using the approved brand direction.
  • Wix Bookings, calendar integration and payment-provider connection.
  • One Founding Captain membership setup with monthly/annual options.
  • Members Area and gated Playbook access using native Wix functionality where practical.
  • Playbook CMS structure plus up to 5 initial resources populated from provided material.
  • Public Community page plus 2–3 launch Groups.
  • One reusable Program landing-page template.
  • Lead magnet capture and core confirmation/welcome automations.
  • Tablet/mobile refinement, technical SEO foundations, analytics setup and launch QA.
  • Personalised recorded walkthrough and 30 days of post-launch technical support.

Excluded / Provided Separately

  • Full brand copywriting from a blank page. Existing direction is refined for UX and conversion, not replaced with a full copywriting engagement.
  • Custom photography or videography production. Final pages are built around genuine Captains Quarters media that is made available for the project.
  • Full Wix Stores apparel commerce setup, product catalogue management, shipping operations and returns workflows.
  • Full multi-course LMS library and additional program builds beyond the included reusable template.
  • Legal drafting or professional legal advice. Approved legal wording can be implemented and styled.
  • Paid provider costs including Wix plan, domain, business email, payment processing, premium apps or licensed assets.

Revision Allowance

Two structured feedback rounds are included, with normal visual polish handled during final QA.

ROUND 1

After Homepage / Visual System

Consolidated feedback on layout, typography, imagery direction, spacing, visual tone and core component styling before the remaining pages are scaled.

ROUND 2

After Core Build / Systems Preview

Consolidated feedback on the completed core pages and agreed system implementation. Minor visual adjustments found during final QA are handled without additional charge.

New pages, new functionality or structural changes outside the approved V1 scope are discussed and priced before work begins.

09 · Handover, Support & Ongoing Costs

What you receive once Version 1 is complete.

At handover, you will have full site access, a working V1, a walkthrough of the main systems and 30 days of support for the delivered build. There is no mandatory maintenance retainer.

30-DAY SUPPORT

Post-launch support included

For 30 days after launch, I will handle genuine bugs, minor layout corrections and operational questions related to the delivered V1. A recorded walkthrough will cover bookings, membership, Playbook updates, enquiries and everyday content management.

FULL SITE OWNERSHIP

Transferred to your Wix account

After the final milestone, the completed Wix Studio site is transferred with owner/admin access. Your existing domain remains under your ownership; I handle the required launch connection. Third-party assets remain subject to their original licence terms.

Ongoing provider costs

These are paid directly to the relevant providers, not to Wix Patriots. Final provider choices are confirmed before purchase so there are no surprise recurring charges.

Wix Paid Site Plan

Required for the selected business, booking and payment functionality. Final plan confirmed at launch based on the agreed V1 features.

Domain Renewal

Your existing domain can remain with its current registrar. Renewal stays under your account and ownership.

Business Email

Google Workspace or another provider only if needed; billed directly by that provider.

Payment Processing

Charged by the selected Australian payment provider at its current transaction rates. Stripe is the recommended starting option if it suits the account setup.

10 · Delivery Fit

Why I am comfortable taking responsibility for this build.

The reason I am comfortable putting forward a fixed scope and timeline is that this project sits directly across the areas I work in every day: Wix Studio design, responsive implementation, CMS, SEO, booking/payment workflows and conversion structure.

WIX

Legend Partner Experience

Deep Wix/Wix Studio experience across design, responsive implementation, CMS, SEO and business workflows.

STRATEGY

Scope Discipline

My approach is to protect the core Captains Quarters ecosystem while keeping Version 1 realistic enough to finish properly within the agreed timeline.

SEO + UX

Design + SEO + UX

The build is planned with design, content hierarchy, basic SEO and conversion paths together, so those decisions support each other from the beginning.

HANDOVER

No Lock-In

Clear milestones, owner access, training and a reusable Wix Studio foundation that can expand without rebuilding the site from scratch.
